Besides reversing, I think one of the major skills to acquire with driving is parking. We have all been there with our parking issues, however, I come bearing parking hacks to help you park well safely without breaking a sweat.
One thing about parallel parking is that it helps to save parking spaces, however, some people find parallel parking difficult.
So when trying to do parallel parking, line your car a few spaces away from the car in front of where you want to park your own car. Then turn your car to the right and start to reverse, till the plate number of the car behind you comes in view.
Now that you have done that, straighten your car till you are directly behind the car that is in your front. Straighten your car and round up with your parking.
One thing about parallel parking is that you have to make use of all your vehicle's mirrors.
Parking in a sloppy area is tricky and scary for some. While parking on a slope, you would still need to parallel park(winks), all you have to do after parking in a sloppy area, make sure that you turn your steering away from the curbs to prevent accidents from happening. But if you are parking downhill, turn your steering towards the curbs instead and if there isn't any curb, just turn your wheel to the front.
This type of parking is my favourite because it would always come in handy especially when parking in crowded areas such as parties, concerts, restaurants, etc and you might just find yourself stuck when it is time to leave.
So with reverse parking, turn your car to back up into an empty spot and keep moving till your car is parallel, then straighten your car and voila! you are done.
With these tips, you would be a pro in parking cars effortlessly and even help a stuck driving in your parking lot😉
